Private collections
I don’t just visit zoos. I also spend time visiting private breeders and seeing their collections. It’s always interesting to look at their aviaries, their birds, and the practical side of how everything is managed behind the scenes. These visits give a different perspective than public institutions, and I’ve learned a great deal from seeing how dedicated individuals care for and work with their animals.

The breeders who have welcomed me have been open and generous with their time, allowing me to walk around, observe, and photograph their setups and birds. I value that trust and try to approach every visit with respect.

On this page, you’ll find some of the photos I’ve taken during these visits. I’ve chosen not to include any names. While a few breeders don’t mind being mentioned, others prefer to keep a low profile, which I think is important to respect, so I’ve decided not to name anyone here.

Visiting private breeders is a privilege, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to see their collections and learn from them.
