Always a work in progress.
My name is Daniel Sörensen. I’m a Swedish-German photographer living in northern Germany.
I photograph wildlife, zoo animals, and anything else that catches my interest, with a main focus on birds. I spend a lot of time visiting zoos, nature reserves, and everything else related to animals and nature to photograph. I also enjoy keeping personal species lists and consider myself a casual species collector, doing things at my own pace. I’m not trying to compete with the “big guns” who have photographed more species than I could ever dream of. I do this because I enjoy it, not because I’m chasing numbers.
Other than animals, I also grow plants and enjoy searching for rare and interesting species to add to my garden. Plants, especially less common variants, are another big interest of mine.
This website is just a small hub where you can learn a bit about me and find my other social media. I visit zoos not only to see rare animals, but to experience them and document what I see for the future, both for myself and for others. From time to time, I also share small guides and reviews alongside my zoo photos.
Thanks for stopping by.
Best, Daniel Sörensen
