This site is not intended to be a complete species database or a comprehensive record of everything I have photographed. Instead, it serves as a central hub for my work.
Here you will find links to my social media platforms, selected photo galleries, and an overview of the zoos, aquariums, and other collections I have visited. For each place, I share a short personal review based on my own experience, focusing on species diversity, enclosure quality, and overall visitor experience.
The site is designed as a landing page and personal archive. It reflects where I have been, what I have seen, and what I choose to share.

Always a work in progress.
My name is Daniel Sörensen. I’m a Swedish-German photographer living in northern Germany.
I photograph wildlife, zoo animals, and anything else that catches my interest, with a main focus on birds. I spend a lot of time visiting zoos, nature reserves, and everything else related to animals and nature to photograph. I also enjoy keeping personal species lists and consider myself a casual species collector, doing things at my own pace. I’m not trying to compete with the “big guns” who have photographed more species than I could ever dream of. I do this because I enjoy it, not because I’m chasing numbers.
Other than animals, I also grow plants and enjoy searching for rare and interesting species to add to my garden. Plants, especially less common variants, are another big interest of mine.
This website is just a small hub where you can learn a bit about me and find my other social media. I visit zoos not only to see rare animals, but to experience them and document what I see for the future, both for myself and for others. From time to time, I also share small guides and reviews alongside my zoo photos.
Thanks for stopping by.
Best, Daniel Sörensen
